Our Daughter Danielle DeLarso was diagnosed with Stage 4 Clear Cell Sarcoma Cancer in June 2010 at 16 years old. Most of her treatment was received at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee. During her treatment she received 30 doses of Radiation, 7 months of in–patient Chemotherapy and Surgery to remove her entire lung and chest wall. After a 9-month fight, she earned her wings on March 26th, 2011. Never once losing her Grace or questioning why her. Danielle’s journey and attitude has inspired so many and continues to do so, through lessons she has left behind.
Danielle was an Honor Roll Student at Pequea Valley High School and a recognized talented athlete.
Danielle had so many hopes and dreams and her excitement for life was contagious. One of her biggest dreams was to enroll in the United States Air Force Academy.
Danielle’s interests & hobbies included: Her Family, Field Hockey, Soccer, Traveling, Music, Photography, Youth Group, volunteer work, History, her Country and of course her German Shepherds.
Danielle was laid to rest with the ashes of her constant companion Xena, whose picture graces the front page of this website, and all the pictures above. Danielle had the honor of having a four legged soul mate while here. A German Shepherd that lived and breathed for Danielle. Danielle and Xena where inseparable in their time here on this Earth. They enjoyed everything together including dog shows, tea parties, puppy showers, birthday parties. You name it. Xena would do ANYTHING asked of her by Danielle......
They now walk the Golden Streets together.
